This week has been full of color, chaos, and a very special reveal. I finally get to share a piece I’ve been keeping secret for a while, a custom painting that traveled all the way to Dubai (!!). Getting it there was an adventure in itself. International shipping mixed with original artwork equals a few heart-stopping moments, but it arrived safe and on time.

A Painting’s Journey 🌏✨

The story behind this piece still makes me smile. I got a DM from someone I didn’t know, asking if I could paint something for my friend’s birthday. My friend had just relocated to Dubai and somehow crossed paths with the person who commissioned the piece. Did he find me through her? Did the universe just set the whole thing up for fun? Truly no idea.

The painting was based on a photo of her and her mom, and she finally got to see it last week. I had to keep it hidden until she opened it, but now I can finally share it. Moments like this remind me why I love what I do. Art has such a funny way of connecting people, even from opposite sides of the world.

Holiday Pet Commissions Are Open! 🐾🎁

The holidays are sneaking up fast (how is that possible?), so I posted about pet commissions on Instagram. Your responses honestly made my week. I’ve already painted two dogs and my first snake ever (which feels so fitting for the year of the snake).

A Little Family Surprise 🎒💖

It was also my little cousin’s birthday recently. For her first apartment and her campus adventures, I made her a hand-drawn tote bag and a set of tiny illustrated matchboxes. I love gifting art to the people I love, especially when it becomes part of their everyday life.
